Altered typewriter

Hello crafty friends, I took an old typewriter and decides to sand pats of the frame of the typewriter so that it would the medium I wanted to apply. I used Gesso.; soft gel medium, I applied some of these medium using stencils. After each application I allowed the project to dry before adding the colors.
Finished project

I added photo of my mother-in-law law from the time she was 3 to about the age of 30. Embellishments also added to areas on the typewriter., charms, flowers and bling. l hope that you like this idea and I encourage you to think outside the box and alter anything you want.
Thanks for stopping by.

I’m back

Hello crafty friends, I took off time from posting the things I created mostly because I went back to work full time and learning how to juggle both was a learning experience. I have been really busy at work during this time I also participated in a few swaps.

Nutcracker Suite The Girls Night Out

Today I am sharing a double layout of our traditional girls night out. I have been taking my granddaughters to the Nutcracker every year for the last 6 years, this year we decided to add their mom's.  The girls get a new ornament usually bought at the nutcracker, then we go out to dinner dressed up. Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker Suite, originally created in 1892. was an 85 minuet long, production with no intermissions. We attended the local nutcracker at Centralia College Corbet Theater.

For the base pages  I use the paper line Earth Wind Fire by Quick Quotes QQP EW100, The photo mats are from the same paper line, QQP EW102  The ice skate was die cut from The earth Wind Fire paper line QQP EW 107 and the Nutcracker is QQP EW 111.

It is a lot of fun creating memories with your family,  we hope to keep this going for any years to come.

Supplies Used:

Grateful Journal and Thanksgiving Activity Booklet

Welcome crafty friends, today I am bringing you a fun activity booklet and journaling cards for my young dinner guest on Thanksgiving. These are place cards as well. Each child will have these on their plate to show them where they will be seated. The journaling cards can be saved and placed in a scrap book for them and the activity book keeps them busy during the times the adults are visiting with other adults.

The activity book is a 5 X 7 with things to color, Tic Tac Toe, word scramble , word search, Maze, I covered the activity book with a 12 X 12  Earth Wind and Fire sheet cut down to 71/2 X 5 1/2"Tied with a green ribbon, on the front of the activity book I cut down a 12 X 12 paper to a 81/2" X 11 paper to run through the printer Cannon TS5000 and copied the body of the turkey on to the patterned paper, I fussy cut the turkey out. coloring his feet, beak and comb with distress markers. The turkeys feathers are made from a feathers die using scraps from the Earth Wind and Fire paper line.

The journal pocket was created using the  paper line Honeycomb.  I cut out a large leaf added two circles to the center of the leaf, the larger circle is edged with Milk Chocolate Powerful chalking ink. one circle is a photo of the child. Which was printed from the Cannon Selphy 1200, The photo was then punched out with round punch. The large leaf was then attached to a belly band to keep the journal closed. Inside the pocket are 30 journaling cards for the children to fill out.

Today I am so thankful

Thanks for joining me today,  I took the contents of the Q Club and this what I have created.

2 single 12 X 12 layouts, 12  Christmas cards and 1 mini albums.   The Christmas cards I used the quotes to create the front of the cards. Three of the cards have duplicate quotes, they are designed somewhat different.

Layout 1 (on the left) I used the circles as photo mats, added Happy Beyond Measure is backed with white card store then mated on the patterned paper. I used the light weight chipboard backed by the co-ordinating patterned paper.

Layout 2 (on the right) I used the cut out "Today I am Thankful" as my focal point, cutting leaves to add to the center of the semi-circle. Adding green bling and green and orange dots  around the semicircle.  I added a cascading waterfall photo mat under the word thankful.

Inside of mini album
Quote from the kit, die cut winter sleigh filled with presents
